Finance : Sabahans are not as distressed by debts

KOTA KINABALU: Sabahans are not as distressed by debts as their counterparts in other states, according to the Credit Counselling and Management Agency (AKPK).
As of February this year, a total of 4,400 people in Kota Kinabalu have sought counselling from the agency in managing their debts.

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak launched the My First House Scheme here yesterday, and urged the financial institutions involved to make procedures as simple as possible for buyers.

“The scheme may not bring big profits to the institutions, but it is very meaningful to the people,” the Prime Minister said, adding that financing procedures should be made simple to enable the young generation own their first house.
